About Us
Entrepreneurial Speed. Institutional Standards.
Founded in 2022, Thematic Capital Group (TCG) is a real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, operation and disposition of outdoor storage, small bay and mid bay industrial real estate. TCG targets the delivery of value-add and opportunistic returns while taking core-plus and core level risk.
Our unique ability is to lead the majority of our acquisitions with tenants-in-tow. We evaluate each potential acquisition with a tenant-first approach to ensure product-market fit in each of our submarkets.
We are grateful to be stewards of capital and are intently focused on forming strong long-term relationships with our investors, tenants and brokerage community.
Our Team
Bernard Clevens
Principal
Bernard Clevens is the Founder and Principal of Thematic Capital Group (TCG), a Florida-based industrial real estate investment firm. He founded the firm in 2022 to bridge the gap between disciplined institutional underwriting and boots-on-the-ground execution.
Prior to launching TCG, Bernard began his career at Prologis (NYSE: PLD), the global leader in logistics real estate, where he played a key role in over $3 billion of industrial acquisitions and dispositions across North America. He led financial modeling, investment committee presentations, due diligence, and closing execution for 50+ transactions totaling more than 66 million square feet. He also contributed to financial analysis supporting several of the firm’s major M&A transactions, including the acquisitions of DCT and Liberty Property Trust.
Drawing on that institutional foundation, Bernard approaches investment with a focus on capital discipline, operational alignment, and long-term value creation.
He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where he co-founded the Emory Real Estate Conference. He lives in Melbourne, Florida with his wife, two children, and two dogs.
He often references Theodore Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena” as a guiding philosophy - valuing conviction, resilience, and the willingness to step forward rather than critique from the sidelines.

In Memoriam
Scott Moseley
Property Manager
On March 15, 2026, the TCG Team was shocked to learn of the devastating passing of Scott Moseley. As a key member of our team, Scott underpinned our Asset and Property Management efforts. He personally knew all tenants across our Central Florida portfolio, which proved to be a small example of Scott's outgoing nature and people-first mentality.
Most importantly, Scott was a devoted husband, proud and present father, and reliable friend. Born on April 13, 1974, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, Scott lived a life full of love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
Scott grew up in Florida after moving from Pennsylvania when he was 8 years old and graduated from Armwood High School in Seffner before earning a degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. His education laid the foundation for a life marked by curiosity and a passion for exploring the world around him.
Scott’s love for travel was a defining part of his life. Before meeting his wife Hillarie on a plane bound for Switzerland—a serendipitous encounter that would change both their lives—he had already seen much of the world. Together, Scott and Hillarie continued their adventures as partners in every sense of the word for over two decades. Their shared love for exploration became even more meaningful as they welcomed their daughters, Madeleine and Annabelle, into their lives. Scott’s greatest joy was traveling with his family, using every opportunity to broaden his daughters’ horizons and create cherished memories.
A devoted husband and father, Scott’s world revolved around his family. To Hillarie, he was not only her husband but also her best friend and steadfast partner. To Maddie and Annie, he was simply “Dad”—a loving presence who always showed up for them with an open heart and unwavering support. As Annie lovingly reflected: “He always cared for us. He always showed up. He always put us before himself.”
Scott’s enthusiasm extended beyond his family to his beloved Pittsburgh sports teams. A true fan through and through, he “bled black and gold” and found joy in cheering on his teams with passion.
Those who knew Scott remember him as a man with a heart of gold who made an immeasurable impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He had a unique ability to balance being incredibly busy while still making time for those he loved most—a quality that endeared him to all who knew him.
Scott is survived by his wife Hillarie; his daughters Madeleine and Annabelle; his menagerie of pets; his parents Laura and Ed Moseley; his sister Melissa Massengale; and countless others whose lives he touched deeply. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Wade Massengale.
Scott Edwin Moseley will be remembered as a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his loss.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Scott on May 17, 2026, at the Pelican Beach Clubhouse in Satellite Beach, FL, at 2:00 PM. In his memory, and in lieu of flowers or gifts, a GoFundMe has been established to build an educational fund for his daughters — so that their futures remain as bright as he always believed they would be.
